This site is a revelation. Love the showing the original images with the enhanced versions just after. I am continually gobsmacked by how beautiful the built environment was in the Pre-War era and appalled as to why human beings the world over abandoned beauty in the creation of everything from door knobs to streetcars to courthouses to entire cities. This site does a great service in reminding to world of what we were once capable of (and could be again). If you took 1913 Halifax and transported it 2026, in tact, but maybe without the industrial soot/smog, it would be one of the most aesthetically beautiful settlements on earth (same could be said for every place, really). I look forward to perusing this entire site. I wish every city/town had similar visual record (with enhanced, colorized pics) of the Halcyon Days. Thank you again. SW Wilson, New Jersey, USA
