A Concert for David, The Halifax Cockleshell Hero Stod Fold, Halifax, HX3 5AX Friday 11th July 2025
Enjoy a chilled out Friday evening listening to wonderful, melodic sea shanties from Halifax's finest, The Landlubbers. They will be setting sail on a musical voyage to bring their unique sea shanty sound to Stod Fold.
Supported by Red House, two singer/songwriters, instrumentalists, David Moffatt (the nephew of Marine Moffatt) and Pete Fearnley. Red House perform an entertaining mix of folk and contemporary music.
Telling the story of the Cockleshell Heroes and raising funds for the Marine Moffatt Halifax Memorial Fund.
Hear the story of Marine Moffatt, who grew up in Halifax and went on to become one of the courageous commandos involved in the Operation Frankton raid of 1942.
All proceeds to the Marine Moffatt Halifax Memorial Fund
