I was overwhelmed to find a photograph of the 'Old Bow Window" It is an enduring memory of my childhood in Brighouse. As I read the two previous accounts, the recollection was so vivid that I could almost smell and taste those peas and the gravy soaking into the 'half a muff, We were so hungry after our swim!
85 years later I am busy writing down my childhood memories at the request of my two daughters and four grand-children and this one will certainly be included. Having lived in New Zealand for the past fifty years your site satisfies occasional fits of nostalgia. Thanks for the memories.
