Halifax Walks

Halifax Walks are a growing collection of detailed routes around all of Calderdale and are designed to appeal to everyone (even the armchair enthusiast). 

We have tried to include:-

  • Obvious Directions (often including a map and/or photo guidance)
  • Approximate Walk distance
  • Approximate time for a casual walker
  • Description  
  • Suitability (any possible hazards, steepness, boggy etc)
  • Where to park
  • Special sights and stories (often along with historic photographs)

 Some walks include various extra formats:-

  • printable sheets (basic directions)
  • printable sheets (detailed directions with pictures)
  • online page with detailed walk, directions, pictures. links and more
  • video walk and talk (detailed video all about the walk)
